When choosing a domain url for your website, you want to select one that will align most strongly with your brand.

If you are an author or illustrator, you will want to use your name. If you are a small press, you will use the name of your company.

It is not recommended to use the title of your book because most authors and illustrators plan to publish several books over their career, which is why your name is your brand name.

To check if your desired domain url is available, type it into the search box here: https://www.namecheap.com/domains/domain-name-search/.

If the url is available, it will quote a price for you.

If your name isn't available for your url, try alternatives like:

  • "authorjanesmith.com"
  • "janesmithbooks.com"

After you have confirmed your preferred url is available, please email us at support@wildinkpages.com. We will set up your domain for you.
